Beekeepers Daughter Sunscreen is a homemade sun protection product that also nourishes the skin. The sunscreen contains no harsh chemical ingredients and is made from Organic Coconut Oil, Apricot Oil, Beeswax, Organic Shea Butter, Non-Nano Zinc Oxide and Vitamin E.
Mineral sunscreens are different to many of the sunscreens on the market today that include toxic ingredients that soak into your skin and provide ‘water proofing’. Beekeepers's Daughter Sunscreen does not penetrate your skin, instead sitting on top of your skin and reflecting the sun’s rays.
The sunscreen will last from 6 months to over a year. Store in a cool place to maximise shelf life.
- All-natural ingredients
- Ideal for sensitive skin
- Made in New Zealand
Directions for use:
At first, Beekeepers Daughter Sunscreen will go on white. After you rub it in and head out into the sun it will melt onto your skin and feel nourishing, and the white appearance will disappear. Apply a generous amount of sunscreen. Then, keep rubbing and it will dissolve onto your skin.
Like other sunscreens, you should reapply this at least every hour. The sunscreen includes beeswax, which helps it stay on in the water, but like many other sunscreens, it will come off with water play (and excessive sweating). Reapplying often is a small price to pay to minimise your toxic load.
Please Note: The sunscreen will ‘set up’ in cold temperatures and ‘melt down’ (some) when really hot. This does not affect the performance of the sunscreen, at all. If it gets cold and solidifies, put it somewhere warm and vice versa.
